Autumn is upon us. The aspens have peaked to their bright yellow. It is a clear sign that it is time to do specific chores that you should be doing every autumn, however, there is no reason to do it all alone. Get the whole family in on it. Children of all ages can help.

Chores teach kids responsibility, gives them a sense of belonging and a sense of accomplishment, and gives them self-esteem a boost. Chores help students develop important executive function skills. By doing chores, children learn to follow steps (planning and prioritizing), focus their attention even when a task is boring (sustain attention) and learn how long tasks take them to complete (time management), just to name a few.
