High School Students:

Coaching is a partnership. Your child/teen will only get out of it what they put into it. We start by building a good foundation. We spend the first few sessions talking about self-care,  strengths,  values and needs, processing modalities, co-creating our relationship, and their goals for coaching. When it is called for, we talk about negative perspectives, negative self-talk, and how to reframe them, or sometimes we do boundary work.

When a client has a unique brain wiring, there is an option for BBC to meet with the client three times a month for 35-50 minutes (length depends on the student; I will advise you as to what I think will be most beneficial) and with the parents once a month. The meeting with the parents is for education about ADHD/VAST, Autism, 504s and to make sure parents have an understanding of the work that their teen and BBC are doing together. The student is my client. Therefore, no confidentiality will be broken unless it is for the emotional or physical well-being of the student.
