Big Bang Coaching. LLC is a Colorado-based business that provides coaching for the neurodiverse. (I coach others too!). It is owned and operated by me, Sheila Kiechlin. Neurodiversity has been part of my life since the beginning. I was adopted so no one was looking for a differently wired brain that made childhood challenging for myself and probably my parents too. I am dyslexic and dyspraxic. My brain has different wiring. Having a neurodiverse brain in a world built for neurotypicals can be a great blessing but it can also be challenging. I was lucky to figure out what worked for me and what didn’t which allowed me to create a life that works for me.

I also have a child who is neurodiverse but not in the same way I am. She has ADHD and ASD. After researching and finding solutions for her and substitute teaching for years with students who were similar to my daughter and me, I decided to open my own business. I am passionate about making life work for neurodiverse thinkers who may be struggling in a society that is not set up for them.  I  coach using a model of awareness, action, and accomplishment to help people create a life that fits them. I do this by co-creating a coaching partnership with each client.

I am a graduate of Marymount University with a B.A. in Liberal Arts (with concentrations in Business and Art History). In addition to my B.A., I am a graduate of the Organizer Coach Foundation Training Program and have taken five of their graduate classes. I hold a diploma in Advance International Organizing Professionals from Q.C. Design School, have earned an Associate Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration from Rhodec International. I have earned a Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization (CD), a Certificate of Study in Basic ADD in Clients with Chronic Disorganization, a Certificate of Study in Basic Mental Health Conditions and Challenges Affecting the CD Client from the Institute for Chronic Disorganization, and have a CBT Cognitive Behavioral Life Coaching Certification from Transformational Academy. I am currently a student at ADD Coach Academy.

Continuing professional development is extremely important to me. I am continually reading/listening to books, taking continuing education courses, participating in webinars, or attending conferences. I am a member of the ACO (ADHD Coaches Organization), Asperger/Autism Network (AANE), The Autism Society of America, Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA),  Dyspraxia Foundation USA, and CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder). I believe in transparency, so below you will find a list of all my professional development endeavors. When I am not coaching, I volunteer as a docent at the Denver Museum of Art, read, create art, garden, watch mysteries, and hanging out with my family and friends.
